Genital Warts
๐Overview
These growths typically appear as flesh-colored or gray bumps that may manifest individually or in clusters with a cauliflower-like texture. The condition is primarily associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) types 6 and 11, which are categorized as low-risk strains.
While these lesions result from viral activity, they are clinically distinct from the high-risk HPV types linked to the development of certain cancers. The infection is transmitted through skin-to-skin contact during sexual activity.
