This benign tumor consists of mature fat cells contained within a thin, fibrous capsule. These growths are often soft or doughy to the touch and move easily with slight finger pressure.
While these lumps can develop anywhere on the body, they are most frequently observed just beneath the skin surface. They are generally considered non-cancerous and typically do not involve the surrounding tissues.
