๐Overview
Nonmelanoma skin cancer (NMSC) is a group of common skin cancers that exclude melanoma. The term primarily refers to basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), which arise from the skin's basal and squamous cells, respectively. These cancers are typically caused by prolonged ultraviolet (UV) exposure and are usually less aggressive than melanoma but can cause local tissue damage and disfigurement if untreated.
