๐Overview
Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (SLL) is a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma characterized by the accumulation of mature white blood cells within the lymph nodes. It is considered the tissue-based counterpart to chronic lymphocytic leukemia, sharing similar cellular features and genetic markers.
While the leukemia variant primarily involves the blood and bone marrow, this condition is identified when the malignant cells are concentrated in the lymphatic system. Due to their shared biological nature, these conditions are often classified together in clinical practice.
