Even from a young age, he was compelled to find a way to make a significant impact in someone else’s life. Cardiology is a family affair in the Schwartz home as Dr. Schwartz’s father is also a cardiologist. Schwartz says, “Cardiology is a very dynamic field and I like the constant advancements and new research that is available to help my patients.”. Dr. Schwartz takes a particular interest in preventive cardiology in order to help people avoid heart problems before they start. He also strongly advocates appropriate cardiac screening for heart disease. He believes patient education and understanding are extremely important in the physician-patient relationship and strives to ensure his patients feel comfortable and well informed. Dr. Schwartz and his wife have two small children, Addyson and Graham. And while he doesn’t have much free time he loves to spend time with his family “playing” outdoors, swimming, and reading, as well as an occasional dinner with his wife and friends.
