Felasfa M. Wodajo

Dr. Felasfa M. Wodajo graduated Cum Laude from Princeton University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to earn his medical degree from University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Wodajo has completed an internship in General Surgery at George Washington University and a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Howard University Hospital. His fellowship in Orthopedic Oncology was completed at the Washington Cancer Institute at Washington Hospital Center. Board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Wodajo has dedicated his career to Musculoskeletal Oncology. Most recently, he served as the Medical Director of Musculoskeletal Oncology at Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington before returning to INOVA Fairfax Hospital. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Wodajo has dedicated himself to teaching others. He has acted as a mentor in the Zimmer Minority Summer Intern Program, which promotes diversity and multiculturalism in the field of orthopedic surgery. Dr. Wodajo has also held teaching positions at Virginia Commonwealth, Georgetown and Howard Universities, and has been a consultant for the National Cancer Institute. He continues to serve as the Course Director for the Washington Orthopedic Pathology Review, a program focused on educating Orthopedic residents in Musculoskeletal Pathology. Throughout his career, Dr. Wodajo has received numerous honors, including the Alvin H. Crawford Mentorship award, an annual recognition given to an Orthopedic Surgeon who has excelled in educating others. He has also been consistently named as a Top Doctor in both the Washingtonian and Northern Virginia Magazine. Dr. Wodajo is a published author, and he serves as Oncology Editor for Orthopedic Clinics of North America, a quarterly journal. He is an accomplished leader for various medical committees and currently holds memberships in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Association, the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, and the Connective Tissue Oncology Society. Dr. Wodajo is married with two children. In addition to delighting in watching his two daughters grow up, Dr. Wodajo enjoys bicycling and listening to jazz.
