Jean Cibula

Hello, my name is Dr. Jean Cibula, I currently hold the BJ & Eve Wilder Professorship in Epilepsy at the University of Florida. I am a retired longtime University of Florida faculty member from the Department of Neurology and the Gainesville VA Medical Center, and I've performed pioneering research in epilepsy pharmaceuticals and epileptogenesis.I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where I attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University and was trained in epilepsy and behavioral neurology at the University of Florida. I was on the faculty at the University of Kentucky as well as in private practice in Columbus, Ohio, prior to my move back to the University of Florida.As a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society and the American Epilepsy Society, I have served on the board of the Florida Society for Neurology. I served as an officer of the UF College of Medicine Faculty Council from 2012 to 2021, and I currently serve as the medical director for the UFHealth Neurodiagnostic Laboratory.
