Dr. Jessica Collins is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who is also fellowship trained in adult craniofacial surgery, aesthetic surgery and pediatric craniofacial and plastic surgery. She comes from Canada where she completed her medical school training at McGill University (fluent in English and French). She then completed her plastic surgery residency training at McMaster University. Dr. Collins also underwent training rotations at Harvard University, Stanford University, University of Southern California, University of Toronto, and Kameda Medical Center Hospital (Japan). She then became Canadian Board Certified in Plastic Surgery (FRCSC). Dr. Collins then underwent two fellowships in San Diego. The first focused on adult craniofacial surgery as well as aesthetic surgery. Her second fellowship through the University of California, San Diego focused on pediatric craniofacial and plastic surgery. Dr. Collins has presented at national and international conferences. She is also an accomplished author with multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Her great affinity for patient care and teaching were highlighted by highly regarded awards, such as the Rady Children's Hospital San Diego CARES Award and the PAIRO Resident Teaching Award. She has also received training awards from the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons and Operation Smile, the latter with which she participated in an international mission for kids with cleft lip and palate. Dr. Collins practices out of two offices in the San Diego Country: Encinitas and Miramar. She is accepting new patients and accepts most insurances.
