📋Overview

Benlysta is a monoclonal antibody that functions as a B-lymphocyte stimulator (BLyS) protein inhibitor. It works by binding to specific proteins in the blood that are required for the survival and activity of B-cells.

By limiting the activity of these immune cells, the medication helps to decrease the production of autoantibodies that contribute to immune system overactivity. This mechanism is intended to reduce the inflammation and damage caused by certain chronic autoimmune processes.
