- Active Secondary Progressive MS (SPMS): This is a stage of MS that follows an initial relapsing-remitting course, where the disease continues to progress and includes active relapses.

How Extavia Works

Liver Injury

How to Use Extavia

Pregnancy
The effects of Extavia on human pregnancy are not fully known, as there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. However, animal studies have indicated that interferon beta-1b may increase the risk of spontaneous abortion (miscarriage). Due to these findings, healthcare providers generally recommend using this medication during pregnancy only if the potential benefits outweigh the potential risks to the developing fetus.
