Pregnancy
There are no adequate and well-controlled studies on the use of fluticasone propionate in pregnant women. In animal studies, corticosteroids have been shown to cause birth defects when given systemically at low doses. However, inhaled medications result in much lower levels of the drug in the body than oral forms.
It is important to consider that poorly controlled asthma during pregnancy can lead to serious health problems for both the mother and the baby, including preeclampsia, premature birth, and low birth weight. Breastfeeding
