How to Use Upneeq
Upneeq is typically applied to the affected eye or eyes once per day. It is important to follow the administration schedule provided by your healthcare provider.
Administration Instructions
- Wash your hands thoroughly before and after application.
- Open the foil pouch and remove the single-use container.
- Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
- Hold the container over the eye and squeeze the liquid into the pocket.
- Close your eye for a moment and apply gentle pressure to the corner of the eye near the nose to keep the liquid from draining.
- Do not allow the tip of the container to touch your eye, eyelashes, or any other surface.
- Each container is intended for a single dose. Discard the container immediately after use, even if some medication remains.
Special Instructions
If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using the drops. You should wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting your lenses.
If you are using other eye medications, wait at least 15 minutes between applying Upneeq and any other products.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed application and return to your regular schedule. Do not use extra medication to make up for a missed dose.
