I have never left an office feeling more hopeful! Endometriosis is so different from person to person, it has been frustrating trying to find answers. Dr Rajakumar is very knowledgeable, willing to listen, and is not just about surgery. He is worth the wait list time, for sure.

I have been referred to Dr. Rajakumar and have not had my 1st appt yet, but he and his office are amazing and so friendly. They answer questions and help point me in the right direction while I wait to see him and it is so rare to find a specialist that is willing to do that. I am beyond thankful.

I received a positive endo diagnosis yesterday and had the entirety of my endometriosis excised during surgery. Dr. R is an amazing doctor. Although I only saw him once prior to surgery, he listened to my symptoms and did not dismiss me like every doctor previously. I feel hopeful that I will be able to go forward with my life pain-free. I recommend that any woman who suspects they have endo to be referred to Dr. R. He also has an amazing team of staff members who made my surgical experience the best that it could be. 10/10

After the surgery my symptoms returned. Subsequently I was back to doctor asking questions. I have heard the answer :” I removed it all. Go back home. I cured you of endometriosis “

Here we are today: after almost 2 years of hormonal suppression, different surgeon has excised 2 nodules on the bowel ( yes, I have had partial resection. NO, I didn’t need ileostomy..neither temporary, nor permanent). The 3 cm nodule on my bladder ( it was just drained during the surgery with dr R.)was excised too.

Someone mentioned doctor might be homophobic. It made me wondering whether this doctor has problems with Muslims too as in presence of my Muslim husband his body language and motion were questionable to say the least.
I can’t complain about gyn. check up though (doctor was professional and kind)

So happy I waiting to see this doctor for my endo! I found out I have adeno even! If it wasn’t for him honestly I don’t know what I would have done. Mentally I was just done with the pain, doctors telling me I was lying and dismissing my pain. When I went to see dr R I honestly had a bad panic attack because I was so worried he would just brush me off (as many others did) and it would be a wasted 5 hour drive but he spent over an hour talking with me and was gentle and talked me through everything. Very understanding and was very helpful

I had my first consultation in 2019 - initially I spoke with his nurse about my symptoms and medications I have been on. She went and told Dr Rajakumar, he then came through and we spoke about how a lap and excision would be the best way to deal with my Endometriosis. I had my surgery in 2020. He and his team were all so caring. With it being during the pandemic, I was even more nervous but they were all very reassuring and I felt safe. My surgery went well as did my follow up where I was told what was removed. I have been pain-free since and am so thankful to have had surgery with Dr Rajakumar.

Dr. Chandrew was wonderful, got me in super fast as my surgery was cancer related. Very knowledgeable and only one of the few that does laparoscopic, healing has been fairly easy would recommend him to anyone.

On my consult in Feb 2020 he was very knowledgeable and understanding. He explained everything in detail and we came up with a treatment plan for my Stage 4 Endometriosis. Dec 17 2020 I had my surgery. My surgery started 3 hours late because of something that happened within the previously surgery which I 100% understand. However he talked to me for 30 seconds before my surgery and all he said was what kind of surgery he would be performing. After the surgery he went home instead of debriefing me on what happened. I was not told where my endo adhesions were located, if any reproductive organs had to be removed, if they ended up doing a scope, no biopsy results. I wasn't told when I could return to work, etc. All I was told was that he would call me 4 days later on the Monday. Well I never recieved that call. My postoperative sheet said I could reach him at a phone number that was incorrect. I finally found a number and spoke to someone at the hospital who told me they would pass the message along. I have little faith that he will contact me. I am beyond frustrated. Anyone with endometriosis knows how important it is to know exactly what happened to their body especially moving forward. I can not stress enough how amazing his staff has been to me but as far as Dr. Rajakumar I am very disappointed with the bedside manner and the transparency of treatment.

I saw him for the first time today and I expressed to him that my daily pain caused me to not pursue my dream job (nursing) and that it makes it so that I can’t drive alone for long (due to fear of blacking out from pain, which happens often). He said that he wouldn’t operate on me because I hadn’t “exhausted drug approaches” despite having been on every type of bc in the book and that he would lose his medical lisense if he operated on me because it would be “unethical”. I asked at what point would it be ethical to operate and he said that “a major life event would have to be affected by the pain” (having kids, which I’m not even sure that I want). I feel that losing jobs and having to chose a new career path are major life events, but he didn’t agree. He got visibly upset when I told him that I ultimately wanted surgery after he told me about my medication options and after repeating the medications that I can take he became silent and then left. His resident brought me the prescription papers and I asked if I should book a follow up appointment and he said that “Dr R would contact me or whatever” (yes he said “or whatever”). I am going to try the medication he prescribed me, however I am going to begin looking for a new specialist.
