After a consultation with her about my son today, I found her somewhat condescending, and coercive when she wanted more than the various doctor’s reports, which she already had. She tried to manitulate an action on my part which I really didn’t appreciate, so at that point I left. Would I go back to her – never.

Dr Gilchrist has a HORRIBLE bedside manner! She dismissed ALL our questions and concerns about our daughters genetic disorder, telling us that all we needed to know would me mailed to us in a letter. I would NEVER return to her and am happy that she will be retiring before my daughter’s next appointment in 4 years.

HORRIBLE DOCTOR!!! I wanted a second opinion but there is nobody! She was rude, condescending and actually made things up in the report to my Dr. She said my biological father was very active and flexible. I didn’t know him so I have no idea how she came to determine a whole paragraph about him when I really had very few answers for her. She actually accused me of smoking as soon as I got in the examining room She stated “You smoke” I was shocked. I’m a non smoker but she was adamant that I was a smoker. She really didn’t listen and totally dismissed my gp’s and the specialists opinions. She diagnosed me with type 3 Ehlers-Danlos after my abdominal aorta dissected and the vascular surgeon discovered an inoperable connective tissue disorder. She says it tore because I had chronic high blood pressure. I have had low blood pressure my whole life. It was a horrible experience to see her. If you need a geneticist I would encourage you to find anybody but her. It was a HORRIBLE experience.

Being 51 of 56 doctors says it all if I would of seen this before meeting her I would have insisted on another doctor . . The appt she was late and lasted not even 10 mins no examination or tests just told my skin did not match her opinion of what we asked to be tested for and and had me bend forward and check a scar and told me to not hurt myself in the future . . NEED to see a REAL DOCTOR !
