Our first appointment was ok, but he seemed more concerned with the cosmetic side of my issues than anything else. I am having unexplained hormonal problems (hair growing from my chin, very late and irregular periods, unexplained weight gain, very clearly hormonal acne (been tracking it), and was diagnosed a couple years ago with a rare disorder that can stem from hormonal problems, and I developed hypothyroidism last year). He ordered a bunch of tests but when I went to get them done at a Dynalife, they told me that they couldn’t do two of them as one of them needed to be done in a 3 hour window in the morning, and the other had to be done only at the hospital – which Dr Morrish did not tell me. There was also a standard test that required fasting, which he also didn’t let me know about, but I noticed since I’ve been playing the medical game for so long… Anyway I haven’t gotten those two errant tests done because it’s a pain, but he called me and left a message last week about the tests, hadn’t noticed those two were missing, and again repeated that since the results were normal, all he would recommend is cosmetic hair removal and some weight loss pill, and he was going to send me back to my GP. This is pathetic. I’m not interested in bandaids, and I will be asking for a referral to someone else.

Dr. Morrish is a very caring, knowledgeable doctor. He responds quickly to telephone calls or emails, and follows up with me regarding lab results. I have been his patient for quite a number of years.

Quite consistently forgets to inform the pharmacies of my dosage changes and I have to call back. He’s nice and all but it’s frustrating how many clerical errors are made. And at this point I almost expect it which is quite telling I think.

Dr.Morrish is a fantastic doctor. Very helpful, kind and truly cares about my health, he calls often to check on me and to update me on my blood work results. My only complaint is that it can sometimes be difficult to reach him.

For those of you taking “synthroid” ….it is garbage medicine, it is actually just a pro-hormone, inactive until one of the iodine molecules are knocked off the T4 to make it the active hormone T3!! I was sick all the time I was on the garbage synthroid, I was switched over to Dessiccated Thyroid, which is a natural thyroid compound, and I recovered completely! Before I ws switched I had such severe muscle pain that I ended up in the hospital where I was diagnosed with Polymiositis, an inflammatory muscle disease! But that was not the correct diagnosis, it was the synthroid that was the cause of my severe muscle cramps and excruiating pain! That all went away when I went off the garbage synthroid, and onto dessiccated thyroid compound hormone! Others have similar stories to mine!

Literally told me that the side effects I'm having on the medication he put me on are not real. I Googled the drug he put me on and every single search result said that severe depression, Eratic weight gain, and bone pain are all side effects of this drug and he straight up told me that these symptoms aren't because of the medication. I've had my GP do every test under the moon to see why I'm like this and the only conclusion we have come to is that it's this medication (these side effects all started around the time I was put on it) . So after telling me I'm wrong he told me that I have no other medication options and to either just go off it (a medication I need for the rest of my life) or just deal with the side effects that apparently to him are not because of this med. I said I'm fearful for my life and have a hard time moving or going outside and I was given nothing but interuptions and a 4 minute phone call where he basically called my situation hopeless. He only cared that my tests looked good and not that this medication might be killing me. I genuinly dont think he's ever met a transgender patient before or successfully treated anyone with hormonal issues.
