I had the misfortune of haveing Dr. Leoni as my doctor.I was brought by ambulance to the hospital with severe right side lower adominal pain. He took one look at me and told me that all my trouble was from being over weight. He passed my chart over to Dr. Ward a gynocologist. He came in the room and told he doesnt really know why he is here but should do a exam just in case. He said from where the pain is located its sure to be my appendix, but can be cysts on my ovaries. Dr. Leoni now comes back in saying if I want I could have a tummy tuck done, but I would have to be cut from here to here, pointing to across my belly. I told him the pain is getting extremely worse, so he said fine, he will go in with Dr. Ward and perform surgery first with little camera’s to see what’s going on. My appendix was seconds from rupturing. Next morning he came in my room, belittled me, told me I had the body of a 80 year old (i was 30 ), and that im killing myself. He left and never came back, not once!

I just had surgery done by Leoni last week and I was very happy with the results,I had a panalectomy (similar to a tummy tuck but without the stitching of the under muscle)done and I was very uneasy about having this cosmetic surgery done by a regular surgen, however he was going to do it for free. I went back to him and his staff several times and asked a million questions, and everyone was excellent. Dr Leoni took his time with me eased my mind and gave me no unreal expectations. If anyone is reading this and having doubts about having this surgery done please email me becuase I wish I could have gotten more information from some people that Leoni had worked on, however everyone keeps quiet about surgerys that are done for vanity reasons. I would recommend going to Dr. Leoni for this type of surgery for sure, you can tell that he takes alot of pride in doing this type of surgery, because he knows that is makes the patient generally happy. Any questions email me – [email protected].

I had my gallbladder removed laproscoply by Dr. Leoni in May 2007. He was awesome. I was in so much pain my family doctor sent me to him and the next week it was gone. I am now pain free!

Dr Leoni is very good, he removed my gallbladder re ER visit, he was the last person I saw in the OR and the first person I saw at my bedside when I woke up from surgery.Excellent bed side manner and a very caring man .He cares about his patients and takes very good care of them with his top notch skills in medicine and his caring ways. Hope he is there if I ever need surgery again.

Patient warning…I had a breast reduction. After surgery,we were concerned that my right nipple looked ‘wrong’.Leoni was unconcerned, called it bruising.I went home,to return a week later, feverish, weak and in pain.Doctors who saw me to remove drains, ect. spoke to Leoni, concerned about my right breast.Leoni told them it was normal, he would see me in a few days. When he finally saw me,he had to admit I was in trouble.Much of my breast tissue had died and had to be removed. After another surgery,I looked like a pitbull attacked me,losing almost all of my breast tissue. He laughed as I cried, he told me “I was lucky it was not cancer, I could be dying” and “it was a game, sometimes you lose” to comfort me.I was discouraged from seeing another doctor, but scared to allow Leoni anymore access.Another surgery was needed to close the wounds, left open for weeks by Leoni.More tissue was lost to infection.I am available for inquiries.’Be careful’ is my message.

Almost killed a family member of mine by not sewing him up properly. Might have been a good Dr in his younger days but I think he's to old an is becoming sloppy and he should give it up. Ppl's lives matter! Would not recommend him to do major surgery on anybody. If u need surgery go to a professional in Edmonton. Sorry camrose but u need to let him go and hire sombody new. Dr leoni is unfit to work on his patients and should do everyone a favour and retire. He has done enough damage

I was rushed to cameos with acute pain associated with gall stones... He immediately hooked me up to Iv fluids and medication for pain I had surgery the next day. This dr was kind and yes did discuss my weight issue but he did not turn me away. Upon discharge he gave me a huge hug and his card and said if you ever need anything call me. He was wonderful and kind I'm going back for surgery in October.

I got a breast reduction from Dr Leoni in November 2010. I was 19, stupid and desperate for smaller breasts and didn't do the research I should have done. The end product ended up being with two obviously different sized breasts, and HUGE scars on the bottom and around both nipples. They look like Frankenstein Breasts, and I've been ashamed ever since I got the surgery done. When I came for my post op, he said they looked fine. I remember crying on the way home.

Leoni clearly forgets the Hippocratic oath to "do no harm". He did bowel resection surgery on a family member and clearly botched it. Within weeks he had a massive hernia on the incision and Leoni said it wasn't a hernia. Saw a surgeon in Edmonton a month later and upon examination he said "who did this butcher job?" and I quote. It was so bad he could not be operated on again and lives with herniated intestines the size of a volleyball. His quality of life has been severely impaired by this doctor. Leoni denies all responsibility. Truth is, this operation was beyond him but his ego wouldn't let him admit it and refer.
