Dr. Rowland was my Doctor for about 30 years. At first he was great with me and my children. In the last 3 years the office is terrible and so is he.. Staff are not helpful and are rude and he is not very invested in his patients. I have moved on to a new Dr. that actually does something.

Not a friendly man. In fact, twice now, he has told my 2-year-old son that he is a jerk. He bent down to where my son was lying on the floor (screaming) and said “well aren’t you a jerk”. When I have gone for a problem of my own, he just writes a prescription and leaves the room with no explanation. I have heard that he is nicer in the morning. I have had only afternoon appointments. I went to the hospital regarding an issue Dr. Rowland could have easily taken care of, and when I told the ER doctor that I couldn’t bring it up to my own Dr. because of his poor bedside manner, he understood completely when he saw the name of my Dr. on my chart. This has been the case when I have been talking to other Moms and have mentioned that my Dr is rude. I have had people say “oh, do you have Dr. Roland”? Do we have to live with this kind of treatment simply because of a Dr. shortage? Shouldn’t they be required to have good customer service skills like anyone else in business should????
