Don't go if you have had a car accident or accident at work. He has a very low opinion of the whole compensation process and seems to think everyone who is injured at work is scamming. My friend was really damaged by his unkind attitude and insults saying there was nothing wrong with her, all in her head. Later she saw a good surgeon who operated and she is now doing great with no pain. I'm sure he is technically a good surgeon he just DISLIKES people on workcover or TAC.M

Wow! What an arrogant, self absorbed so-and-so! My GP referred me to Brazenor on the basis that he is conservative when it comes to surgery which suited me to some extent as I wanted to continue with some quality of sport/living/life.
Went to see this guy six weeks ago for damage to discs and loss of sensation in my left leg. Had the cursory reflex and pin prick test, watched me walk down the sort corridor to his reception and back and gave my scans a quick look before giving me his advice of loosing 10kgs using the 5/2 diet. I’m heavily involved in combat sports and relatively young (49). I’m big (100kgs) and I’m strong. The advice was to stop ALL activity, no swimming, no combat sports, no bending…… and walk for 40 minutes a day. He insisted I use a ‘pick-up-stick’ and not bend for any reason. Gave him my MRIs and CT scans and the radiographers notes pinpointing the ‘issue’ which he has chosen to ignore.
Had a follow up appointment, now I have to have an isotopic bone scan and yet another MRI for what he believes to be possible nerve damage in my foot. When I questioned recovery, activity and the like he said that if I’d stop being so pigheaded about the advice he gave me it would heal!!! I’m not medically trained but how the hell do discs heal if they’re completely ruptured??? He said there is nothing he can do to fix the problem in my spine. That’s when he lost me! Looking for another neurosurgeon now. Disappointing to say the least.

Having being injured at work a few years ago I was sent to this arrogant, condescending Dr by a legal firm. I know why they chose him! Every report I have had previously had agreed with my diagnosis but this guy wrote a disgusting report without reading any prior history, said he wasn’t qualified to look at my mri, did a very quick ordinary ‘assessment’ only checking my reflexes. Did not touch or look at my spine or shoulder which is where I have issues. He was not qualified to make judgement on my condition as I don’t need surgery but took it upon himself to say I was acting, a liar, a work cover cheat. Not only did he completely discredited me but also every specialist I’ve ever seen to date. Very unprofessional, self absorbed, arrogant and has made it very difficult for me and my family financially.

This “Dr” has prejudices regarding injured workers on workers’ Compensation. Apparently “you can’t trust people on workers, comp”. Yes Dr, we all lie just to stay at home, we love pain and no money!!!!
His body language is telling, crosses arms across chest, leans back in chair and talks down to you with his eyes closed or blinking constantly. Does not listen to patients at all and then actually called one of my very trusted specialists “a nut”!!!
Totally unprofessional.
