This man changed, maybe saved, my life. I suffered a workplace accident that caused damage to my spine. I was recommended for surgery by the hospital and Mr Brazenor wouldn’t do it. Said it was unlikely to be successful and could be dangerous. Rest, exercise when I was ready. Regular review. There was some concern that I might not be able to run again. It’s 20 years later and I’m back playing cricket and keeping fit. I owe this man a great deal and many thanks.

To all those people saying that Mr.Brazenor openly despises anyone on workcover is a load of nonsense!!!! I was reluctant to see any doctor about my injury as i thought is was related to an injury much earlier in my life. When i initially saw Mr.Brazenor, i too got the conservative approach. He did however inform Workcover that my injury was NOT related to previous injury in my youth. Did my best to follow instruction, but after some time had to go back and see him. After the usual Workcover process ( read long, drawn out process ) my surgery was approved. Obviously the man that some of you people have seen was not the man that treated me. He was exactly what i hoped a neurosurgeon would be. Professional, caring and bloody good at what he does. Some might consider his methods somewhat antiquated, but in this age of operate and ask questions later, Mr Brazenor is exactly the right man to see. Some people have said that they find him arrogant, rude and totally against them. Well to them i say, you get what you give. I am of the opinion that he doesn’t tolerate those trying to take advantage, no matter what form that takes. I understand that everyone has a different experience, and, that i can only speak of my own. To that end, my opinion of Mr. Brazenor could not be any higher.

Absolutely delighted with consult. Graeme was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and gave me excellent advice in regard to necessary changes to my lifestyle which will hopefully reduce pain. I am comfortable to be in his hands for future management of my spinal issues.

Have nothing but respect and admiration for Mr. Brazenor. Commitment is a two way street. If you commit to do the best for yourself, then he will be with you 100%. Never found him to be anything other than professional, courteous and helpful. i have had a triple level fusion, so i can talk from experience. Ever noticed how people treat you? You get what you give. If you want soft and cuddly, look elsewhere. Me, i want a surgeon who tells it like it is. If i had my time over, i would still, without hesitation, put my faith ( and spine ) in Mr. Brazenor. by A.MacDonald

bedside manner totally lacking.i found this man to be rude and downright insulting.i went to him for a second opinion on possible surgery options and sat through 20 mins of insults and judgements on my obviously poor mental state.i already have a psychiatrist and a gp for that.i needed a professional opinion on my physical spinal problems and possible ways of fixing them and i left his office wanting to crawl into bed and cry.this man may well be one of the best in his field which is why i went to him(as recommended/reffered by another well respected surgeon) but i didn't see any evidence of that.maybe he genuinely thinks he was helping me, or maybe he just doesn't care, either way i won't be seeing him again.

Rural provision of services and the tyrrany of distance continue to be a problem for specialist services.

Words can not express how highly I value Graeme Brazenor. He offered conservative treatment for my prolapsed herniated back. He set me a plan to follow diligently and rated my success of self healing 7/10 within 8 months. I followed the prescription to the letter and am pain and drug free within 4 months. The work is still ahead of me but I am good for it. I felt valued and was treated wonderfully by the ladies.

Dr was rude, confrontational, verbally abusive, arrogant, had dellusions of grandeur, advice taken from him left me weak, sick, no mucscle tone, dejected, confused, & depressed. Is mean, ignorant and selfish. My treatment was more than 15 years ago and this is how I still remember him. I am obviously not flying off the cuff because I'm angry from something that just happened. Draw your own conclusions

I was suffering with bulging discs and discs needed to be replaced. The disc was impinging onto a nerve and the pain was constant for six months. Graeme explained the operation details but recommended I walk five kilometres per day and take Flaxseed Oil and glucosomine tablets. Have not had any pain now for four months. Thank god there are surgeons out there that care for the patient, and not take you down the track of an operation straight up and have dollar signs in their eyes. I would certainly recommend Graeme and have done so to friends. Thank you Graeme I am now pain free.
