Dr. Abelseth is Top notch, #1, The best possible. However his office staff is at the opisite end of the scale. They are without a doubt the worst people I have ever had to deal with. They alway give you the impression you are bothering them. I have a feeling it could be the same one every time because the comments are always the same. Rood, Rood, Rood.

Dr. Abelseth’s office has the most unbelievably rude front office staff. This person makes it extremely difficult to see the doctor. She told me they would call me back in two weeks to set up surgery, well that was back in MAY — six months ago. I have not heard from them, the office staff will not answer the phone, nor take messages. I have given up on this office. The really frustrating point is that I’ve waited 2 years to see this specialist for necessary hip surgery. I have no idea why this front desk personnel is still employed. She is miserable beyond description. She’s unpleasant to everyone, young and old alike. She’s curt, ignorant and refuses to make eye contact. She will start throwing papers around like its our fault she can’t find the necessary paperwork. He may be an amazing doctor, but good luck getting by the front desk.

I have not had the opportunity to have Dr Abelseth perform surgery on myself as I have cancelled all appointments, due to the rude miserable insulting and not listening to the problem that had been caused by the front staff. All I can say is Dr Abelseth is not getting the credit he diserves .

I had my first appt. with Dr. Abelseth yesterday, Jan. 19th 2011. I am so confused…..I had a very good visit, only one person there other than himself and she was nice. He was great, took good care of me and I have surgery coming up very soon. I wonder if she was new? She didn’t seem like she was.

Dr. Abelseth is extremely pleasant, easy to talk to and answered all my questions. Have to agree with others that his one receptionist was a nightmare but at my latest appointment (last week) it looked like someone new had just been hired and was in the midst of training. She was very pleasant. Hopefully this means he’s made a positive change.

Perfromed surgery to repair a fractured ankle which has healed completely. Pleasant and punctual even under pressure of a busy holiday season ER setting.
