gives report that does not ring true as he examines you without x-ray or ct scan result and gives work cover what they want to hear should not be a doctor as he is a liar and only wants to make money from your injury

Secretary provided me with a very quick answer for my appointment after a last minute cancellation. The advice from Dr Day was very conservative – as had been suggested to me by my GP. I will return to him for more advice in the future.

Well where do I start. Dr Day was 45 minutes late for my appointment no apology for making us wait. When we finally got into his room he opened my file and said “BAD LUCK”. I just wanted to walk out. He then started talking about his brother and how much weight he had lost, talked about his fishing trip and spoke about his status on the tribunal. I cried nearly the whole time because I felt worthless, embarrassed and worst of all ignored. I felt like he wasn’t listening to me. He then spoke about my weight and like I said to him I have put on weight since my injury because it hurts to do things. Like he has done to everyone else I have now been cut off WORK COVER because of his report. I just feel like giving up. The worst experience ever.

I got sent to Dr Day for an involuntary IME ordered by workcover because getting in to see my HAND specialist was a 3-4 month wait and they weren’t happy with that.
Waited 20 minutes after my appointment time (while I was the only one there) and he looked at me and said he knew nothing about me or my injury because workcover apparently hadn’t sent it through. He performed a physical exam on me and said I probably have carpal tunnel syndrome (I later found out it was a torn scapholunate ligament and perforated membrane) and then spoke mainly about his status on the tribunal and how he founded a bunch of bullsheit things and sent me for an MRI and nerve conduction test.
He wrote his report and sent it to workcover before getting any of my results back and said I was fit for pre-injury duties and I had to fight workcover on the fact that went against my GP and physiotherapist. He also stated in the appointment that he didn’t know why I was sent to him because he doesn’t know much about upper limbs.
I then went to Dr Michael Kalamaras (a hand specialist I highly recommend) and he wrote a detailed report and stated the tear and cyst were present and that I need surgery and Dr Day revoked his IME report and never submitted another one.
Avoid this doctor at all costs, he’s so up himself and will NOT put your best interests at heart. If you’re told to get an IME, request a different doctor or record your session with him to prove his reports are full of lies.

I saw Dr. Gregory Day at hope island for a work cover appointment. His opinion in person matched my physio & Gp but on his report he was either completely incompetent or… Corrupted !
He stuffed up my report & ruined my claim, he contradicted my Gp & past and present physio findings. He even prescribed & incorrect treatment which of course I did not take & thankfully I have avoided any possible medical complications.
Avoid this Dr at all costs, something is not right. Also I would love to complain about him and have him officially looked into as someone in his position has a responsibility to do his job properly,. He is not and after looking into him I can see many others have suffered my same fate.. very sad and a disgrace to his title of professor.

Dr Greg day fixed my back on the right side l4 l5 now my left side is not good and if I need an op he will be my first choice he nows his stuff if your bagging him you aren’t doing what he said after opp you go doc.
