He was very professional, compassionate, patient, caring and knowledgeable. He was one of the few surgeons who offered the latest mechanical aortic valve ( On-X ) and also let you choose what you want. He gave me a wide choice...I strongly recommend him to anyone. He also practises at Prince Charles and teaches at UQ Medical School.

He operated on my son and saved his life. Very difficult operation on extremely critical and life-threatening deterioration of the heart. Dr Jalali was brilliant - an incredible knowledge of his field, and very gentle and helpful at all times. The surgery was a hard one to do as it was rare for someone to even survive with such bad symptoms, to even be able to be operated on. What I also liked was that despite Dr Jalali's busy schedule, he kept us well informed and at every contact we had things were explained very clearly, and any concerns actioned. It was reassuring during a very frightening time. Since then there have been a few issues and side-effects of the surgery (a lot less than expected but still needing attention) and again Dr Jalali has offered appointments and at low cost due to my son being on disability. We were so lucky to find this amazing man.

I don't normally go out of my way to write a review but I wanted to give back in some way to Doctor Jalali for the incredible job he has done for me when I underwent minimally invasive surgery for the correction of a congenital heart condition PAPVD. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I am a very detailed person and have very high standards for myself in most areas of my life. I also need to understand conceptually how the surgery would work for me to feel comfortable about it. Dr Jalali was able to answer all of my very specific questions with confidence and honesty and I was very impressed with his patient care, experience, skill, and dedication to his work. I am over 7 months post op now and feeling great. The surgery went well and without any complications and doctor Jalali made sure he checked up on me regularly after surgery to ensure I was okay and that I had any questions answered. I felt very re-assured and cared for. There is no part of my care which I was unhappy with, everything exceeded my expectations with Doctor Jalali. Thank you Dr Jalali for your dedication, commitment, passion, and care in your field of surgery.

Dr Jalali performed minimal invasive mitral valve surgery on me, a 58yr old male last February at St Vincent's Private. When i saw him for the initial consultation he was very confident in repairing the valve. The surgery was a complete success and extremely happy with the result with blood pressure and heart rate returning to normal to my surprise. I was in hospital for about a week and during that time Dr Jalali visited every day updating me with the recovery. He is such a humble man and would highly recommend Dr Jalali and his team for all heart procedures

I don’t normally write reviews but can never thank Dr Jalali enough for the care he and his wonderful team provided both pre and post operatively. Dr Jalali performed the David procedure on me with a very successful outcome. Leading up to the surgery I was absolutely terrified but knew I was in the very best hands. Dr Jalali saved my husbands life. At 27 my husband faced the terrifying ordeal of open heart surgery, due to an aneurism in his aortic root. Without surgery he would have surely died. Today we have just arrived home after an 11 day stay in The Prince Charles Hospital. We felt that with Dr Jalali we were in safe hands. he was so kind, and we came away feeling like he genuinely cared. He gave us every option, explained the risks and benefits to each, and then provided us with his opinion on which he would choose if he was in the same situation. We felt in safe hands the whole time, and appreciated the he took the time out of his busy schedule each day to see how we were going, offering us advice and tips and what to expect not only physically but emotionally also. I’ve known for 12 years that the day would come when I would not be able to avoid the inevitable and have major corrective heart surgery (David procedure). I’m a 49 year old father of three, husband to one and was terrified of the prospect of it.
From the moment my wife and I sat down with Dr Jalali, we knew my heart was safe in his hands. Sure there were risks, well explained. We knew that. Sure it was major surgery, we knew that too. Everything was explained to us. There was no downplaying any of this by Dr Jalali, he just fully explained the procedure, spoke of the professionalism of his team and that was it, our minds were made up.
I’m at home today with family, enjoying my first sunrise at home since the operation. I can safely say I doubt I’d be enjoying it with Dr Homayoun Jalali. I owe him and his entire team my life!
