Dr. Sargeant genuinely cares about his patients. He will listen attentively, clarify and rephrase, all to make sure he understands you completely. Most doctors have an aura of authority since they do possess a lot more education than most however, Dr. Sargeant comes with the view that YOU are the expert in yourself. So he actually hears you and understands you. Phenomenal human being and psychiatrist!!

He's an amazing doctor. My mom was diagnosis incorrectly for thirty years . He was the first doctor who recommended Lithium. for two weeks. she had tried all other kinds of medication that just made things worse. She took the medicine for two weeks and started therapy for PTSD, and did it for a year monthly. She never had another visit to the doctor and any mental health episodes again. She kept saying will I get sick again, but she never did for last 25 years of her life.

For over 20 years Dr. Sargeant has been my doctor. He listens and always gives helpful advice. I will miss his caring approach and sense of humor.

For more than 20 years I had mental problems and no Doctor was able to help me until Dr Sargent took me in. I come from a physicians family and I was never as comfortable and happy with the results of my treatment as I have been since I am his patient.

He made me cry the last time I saw him and I never went back. Not the most sympathetic doctor and could improve his bedside manner. Likes pushing meds

Has a tendency to be abrupt when talking. When you question him on something he gets defensive and almost arrogant like how dare you question me. He means well but his ego gets in the way.

Antidepressants have crushed my very soul. I am not the person I used to be. The meds have changed my very essence, for the worse. Please try not to prescribe meds unless you warn patients first, and only after they have tried psychotherapy first. The road back to the ones I love has been lost due to these meds. They have not only robbed me of my life, they have robbed my family of me.

A hate to say this, but one of the worst Pyshciatrists I have seen. Lazy methods were based on trying to recall long ago memories of when I had a dog. Terrible. Maybe he has changed??
