I love Dr Millstein she is amazing I would not change her for anything I moved to another town but drive out to see her because she is so good

My wife (and our daughter) have been patient's of Dr. Millstein for a number of years. While she can't be bothered to write this review, I beleive i am in a perfect position to do so as I hear the horror stories after every appointment. All the issues previously expressed have been experienced as well (unprofessional, late, taking calls during appts etc. Etc)....recently....(and this one may top all the others) we received a call from Dr. Millsteins office advising they'd like to set up a phone appt to discuss my wife's blood test results. This caused a great deal of confusion as the last time my wife had her blood taken..qas NIVEMBER 2019!!!...ALMOST 1 YEAR AGO!!!!.. I completely understand that doctors are busy and the current environment (COVID) creates additional challenges however....waiting almost 1 year to report on Bloodwork is unprofessional, dangerous and a complete lack of caring to her patients. If anyone is remotely considering going to Dr. Millstein as their family doctor.....RUN AWAY as fast as you can ..!!!

I am no longer a patient of Lisa, as I left for MANY reasons including but not limited to her being money-hungry, inconsiderate of peoples' time, and condescending. Yes, she is thorough and knowledgable, but you will wait a minimum of 45 minutes, you will be disrespected by the front desk staff, and you WILL have to listen to her take calls during your appointment (every. single. time.) Lisa clearly thinks she is invincible and above practicing professionalism, but I want her patients to know that they can and should leave! I now have a wonderful doctor with none of the qualities Lisa has. I wonder if Lisa even reads these, cause she never changes!!! She clearly does not care.

I was a patient years she was great until I took a couple years from seeing her, then when I tried to call back to book a check up, I was told I was dropped as a patient. They also never de-rostered me from their file so I was still listed as a patient, and couldn't enrol online for a new doctor. Not only is that a garbage way of dealing with people, but they held my file without properly releasing me so I could get someone else. Thanks for nothing. She was a good doctor, but the policies are terrible.

I have been a patient of Dr. Millstein for over 15 years. I am so grateful to her for everything. I have moved out of the city but will still drive the distance to see her and wouldn't dream of switching doctors. I do not understand the complaints on this board. While people complain that she is sometimes late, most busy offices are and with her it is because she is taking the time to listen to her patients and address their concerns when needed. Some patients require more time and that is understandable. She is also a working mom so if she needs to pick up the phone to address a concern relating to one of her children, I have no issue with that as a working mother myself. Dr. Millstein has always listened to my concerns and has gone out of her way to help me and give me the best care available. She has readily ordered tests when needed and referrals when necessary. I always feel good when I leave her office knowing that I am being looked after. What I also appreciate is that on many occasions she has followed up with me several times after hours to be sure I understood the results on my tests. Through a surprise pregnancy, she has also picked up the phone during my visit to convince the ultrasound clinic to try to give me an earlier time than what I was able to obtain. Many of my family members also see her as their GP and they are also very happy to have her as a doctor. Thank you Dr. Millstein!

Dr. Millstein is friendly, approachable, and proactive. For example, she recently called me personally to remind me of an appointment I have every two years with an external specialist, which she didn’t have to do. I think the reviews on here are far too harsh and that people are quick to jump on the bandwagon. I’m extremely happy with her as a doctor, especially as a woman. It’s nice to have a healthy, young, and energetic doctor. I did “hear” that she only deals with one issue at a time, but I’ve never experienced this personally, and neither has my husband.

Lisa Millstein was my GP after entering Canada and for several years. Generally, I found her to be helpful and friendly – that was until she thought it was a better idea to report me to the Ministry of Transit as a drug abuser instead of sign my MMAR (federal papers to prescribe me marijuana). She played a game with me regarding cannabis, and is clearly ignorantly misguided by the pharma companies like most doctors.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Millstein’s for several years now; I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I find her very thorough. On the other, she’s not a great listener. For straightforward medical issues, she’s great–clear, practical, thorough, understanding. For things that are less clearcut, she’s not good. I have longterm issues with mild and major depression, for which I see psychologist, and I’ve had Dr Millstein start arguing with me about how she thinks I should be treated despite knowing nothing about how my psychologist and I have worked out. And at the same time, when I expressed concerns the effect birth control pills have on my mood, she began pushing it again. Huh? On the other hand, she’s been proactive and helpful when it comes to fertility counselling. So I trust her for medical issues, but not mood ones, and when these overlap I am perfectly willing to hold my ground with her.

I have never had a more caring doctor. Dr Millstein is very thorough. always takes her time with you. She cares about all aspects of your health and if she doesn’t know the answer she looks into it. It is wonderful to know that doctors like her still exist.
