Poor diagnostician in office setting. As an anaesthesiologist, he left me entirely conscious during several gastroscopies. I remember every horrid second of the procedures. Not only the gagging, but I felt the actual cuts when the surgeon was taking several biopsy specimens. It was only when I had an other anaesthesiologist do the procedure that I became aware of the correct way to anaesthetize a patient. During the last procedure, I remember the injection into my hand; the next thing I remember is dreaming, and when I opened my eyes, I was in the hallway awaiting transport back to the day surgery unit.

I went to see Dr. Hoque for a consultation for a heart stress test. He was working out of the office located at 9421-94 Ave in Frt. Sask. I didn’t care for his bedside manner at all. I thought him to be gruff and uncaring. When he told me to take off my shirt for blood pressure test and to listen to my heart, I was offered nothing for cover up. The office itself is very old and unkept. I just felt unimportant to this doctor and I would much rather deal with someone who shows concern for my health.

I went to see him about sciatic pain in my leg cause by a back problem in my lower vertabre. He said there’s nothing he could do for me I’d have to fix it myself,not even offering any persciption for muscle relaxant or pain. I would never see him again.

i am 26 years old and have had high blood pressure for about 4 years now, i seen him for the first time ever today and i felt very good about it, although the office its self was kinda rough (which honestly who cares if they are good at their job that’s what matters) he himself listened to me and my concerns, never rushed me out or anything like that and got me squeezed into a spot very soon for a stress test on my heart and actually thought about what to do. I think to many people on this site complain about the conditions of the office /staff when its about the DOCTOR himself THAT S IT!!!i would refer anyone i know with the same problems as me to go to him in a heart beat. The staff were very friendly and the woman who did my blood pressure and ecg was very talkative as well as the receptionist, i wasnt even there for 5 min and then was called in great experience compared to some edmonton and red deer docs i have seen

Dr Hoque is very knowledgable and does put great thought into what he does with his patients. My Dad, who suffered a massive heart attack was only given 5 years to live. With the help of Dr Hoque keeping close tabs on his meds and conditions (he also had COPD) my Dad was with us for another 30 years beyond the expected 5. I am seeing Hoque now and although he seems gruff at times I think it is only due to the fact that he is a little hard of hearing and also wants to make sure you understand what he is saying as he has a thick accent. He is getting on in years but is still trying his best to continue his dedication to his patients. Some may feel more at ease though going to a younger Dr. as I do have to remind Dr. Hoque several times about certain things relating to myself and my conditions. However, that is likely due to the fact that I just began seeing him a few months ago.

I have been with Dr. Hoque for twenty seven and a half years now. He delivery my baby girl back in the day. He has seen me through several surgeries; I must say a good eye. He is persistent in a code blue and one of the calmest people in a crisis such as that. The person is living and well. I can trust him no matter what, and the staff he chooses are just as compassionate. Through out the years with some of the unique problems I have had Dr. Hoque knew just what to do. Whether sending to a specialized facility for more tests, recommending specialists, dentists, and other little problems I had crop up along the way. Never treated me in disrespect in anyway. After all this time I had one other request at the end of my appointment. My request was that he could never retire the gift God gave him so long as his health remains, which it is because I pray for the special people in my life. God Bless You Dr. Hoque. 🙂
