Has the bed side manner of a hockey stick. In his world only.

This doctor was awful. I saw him a few times about migraines and I found he was not knowledgeable at all. He didn’t seem to even want to help. He told me about a prescription which I clearly told him I did not want. This prescription started with an S. We discussed several other meds and then he wrote me a prescription. It was the prescription for the med I didn’t want. He blatantly lied to my face explaining that wasn’t the same drug that it was another one starting with an S and I was confused. I talked to the pharmacist and it was the drug I did not want. I refused to see him again.

This doctor almost caused my daughter’s death. She started with severe headaches when she was 14 which he called migraines. He provided her with heavy medications and over the next months she missed 3 out of 4 weeks of school due to the severity of the headaches, loss of function and memory. After insisting on a private MRI which I paid for it was found that she had Chiari Malformation (diagnosed by the Calgary Headache Centre). She was to be referred to a neurosurgeon however Dr. Roberts didn’t do this for another six weeks. By the time the neurosurgeon got the MRI and referral from Dr. Roberts, she was classified as priority. We saw the neurosurgeon within days of him receiving the referral and sx took place a few days later. Neurosurgeon advised that she was in danger of just stopping breathing as chiari malformation is when the brain stem is squished in the top two vertabrae causing swelling to the brain stem which controls breathing etc.

This doctor has no bedside manner and was very disrespectful of his patient.

I was referred to Dr. Roberts by the Pain Clinic. Before going on my appointment I decided to check the “RateMD.com” and read the reviews on him. I was shocked to see that most of the reviews were negative. Since the wait time to see another Neurologist was quite long, I decided to chance it and go on the appointment. Also a lady I know told me that Dr. Roberts was her doctor and she found him quite good. Well after going on this appointment I found the same as her;I found him to be very good. My wait time was about 10 minutes. I found him to be quite interested in my situation. He asked alot of pertinent questions and spent time writing down the answers. He did a physical exam as well. I had alot of questions and he answered all of them. I’m not sure why he got so many negative reviews, but I found him to be competent and knowledgable. He is a “no nonsense” kind of guy, but that fine with me. I would certainly go back to him again

I was admitted to a local hosp. and got set up in ICU. was treated with IVIG. saw the next neurologist on call who, according to his assistant said this new guy was manic and could I just "pretend that I was feeling better"? Saw the manic idiot who seemed to have some difficulty modulating his voice. told me I was using valuable medications and that each visit was cost AHS $1000 per visit! furthermore, he'd spoken to the original neurologist who dx-d me and given me med's for a disease she wouldn't stand behind - because other dr's had their doubts(?). Dr Roberts came in later in the evening (after visiting time was over). I was expecting a fight. I flat out told him that I didn't want to fight with anyone anymore. He kind of smiled and we talked for a bit - as though I was a sentient being. Needless to say, Dr Roberts is my permanent neurologist now. I wouldn't trade him for the world. ADDITIONALLY, the "manic one" still feels the need to continue repeating what the original neurologist had to say. He's done this 3 times now. Now, I have to ask - I've been through a SFEMG (twice) and it was positive - but not positive enough. My family members on my mom's side virtually ALL have MG - but that's not enough. I have virtually ALL the clinical symptoms of MG - but again, that's still not enough. I've had a Tensilon test- and again THERE'S NOT ENOUGH POSITIVE RESULTS TO SAY YAY OR NAY(?). The first dr (the one who dx-d me) set me up with various drugs - one even cytotoxic - but STILL will NOT stand behind her original dx. I said I was tired of running that damned medical hamster wheel! We're it not for a letter sitting my GP's file stating that YES, she does have MG, I'd be listed as crazy! Additionally, were it not for my psychiatrist, i'd probably be locked up somewhere! All I can say is THANK GOD FOR DR NEIL ROBERTS!

A Doctor who really listens, doesn't rush the patient, and admits when he doesn't have an answer right away. I highly recommend him!

Horrible. No one returns my calls. Finally when I did get someone to pick up and answer she told me that it's to late for me to book an appointment. She told me that they sent it to my family doctor whick i dont have so god knows where they sent all my result and who has access to my private information!! Not impressed. Wth I haven'tdiscussed any of the test that where done even. Just went to show me how much they really cared.

Took my son a number of years ago. He was horrible. When he saw him for a follow up he told him there is nothing he could do and suggested to my son to get light exposure and sunshine. When I asked if he needed to see me he said no. My son was 16 years at that time so clearly he should have briefed me about the situation. I will never recommend anyone go to him or to Tai Chao.

I just had a meeting with Dr. Roberts and left knowing that my care was in excellent hands. His office was very inviting; filled with beautiful artwork that calmed your soul. The receptionist acknowledged me immediately upon my arrival and I did not have to wait long to see Dr. Roberts. I have met many physicians during my battle with breast cancer and can honestly say that Dr. Roberts is one of the most caring and professional physicians. He took sincere interest into what I had to say about my condition and emphasized with my concerns. I really appreciated the time he spent with me explaining the medical jargon so I could understand everything. I highly recommend this neurologist. C.
