Had no problem with Dr McCombe and the after care he has provided since my surgery. He is thorough and his receptionist is very prompt in getting things organised. Highly recommend

In a word brilliant! In my opinion he is one of the best spine surgeons in Australia. I was told by many other surgeons that nothing could be done for my back pain. After extensive investigatons and consulting with colleagues here and overseas Dr McCombe performed a multiple level fusion and corrected the deformity that was causing my pain. I am now out of pain, straighter and taller!. I wake up every day to a new life and I am grateful. At all times he was upfront with me about the success rate, the potential risks and complications of the surgery. Totally patient with me through the whole rehab process. In his waiting room I have met many other patients with similar stories. Not only is he a great surgeon but an engineer and designer. He developed the implant that was used in my surgery and it is used all over the world. I highly recommend this doctor.

After surgery which was undertaken on X-rays and no more he failed to see the complexity of my situation ,and shall we say ‘stuffed it up ‘ and worsened my condition and informed me that it was all in my mind .Several months later after MRI results revealed the true state of the damage from the accident and botched surgery
I was sent to endure another bout of his arrogance and disassociation with the problem or any ownership of his arrogant ill-informed diagnose and my subsequent situation .Would I let this man preform on myself or any of my family ,NO !

I had surgery performed last year which was a disc replacement and a fusion at 2 levels in my lumbar spine. I had an excellent result. Could not be more pleased with my care and recovery. I highly recommend dr McCombe to anyone looking for true expertise in the spine. Sam

I don’t know whom is more arrogant and dismissive, him or his receptionist.
I have spent a year seeing this doctor and I have no resolution to my back problems. In fact when I tried to tell him my symptoms had gotten worse, he spoke over me and pretty much told me it was too complicated.
I’ll not waste any more time on this man, nor would I ever recommend him to anyone I know.
