He does not give me any information. I have yet to see any proof that I have RA except that Dr Katz says so… The nurse said she felt 4 swollen joints. That doesn’t seem like enough to me. Nor did it to the nurse. He doesn’t care if I’m feeling better. He just wants to push drugs on me and make me feel like a crazy person for asking questions. I refuse to continue seeing this terrible doctor.

Dr Katz saved my life. I was in suicidal agony and he got right to the Genesis of my pain ….he got me started on biologics thank the Lord. I am very thankful for him. I would still be suffering

Dr. Katz is a wonderful doctor. He goes above and beyond to help. He even took the time and did a follow up call on Dec. 24. He is very knowledgeable and has been very helpful.

This is my second go around with Dr Katz as he stopped coming to my rural community. I was super sad to see him go, and even sadder with the Dr that replaced him. He is patient oriented and caring. Always concerned with how I’m doing. I was super glad to have him back as a Rheumatologist. He has help me with my PSA 100 fold.

Dr. Katz is solution oriented and quickly responded to my RA issues. He is personable, easy to talk to and takes time to inform and answer questions.

I started seeing Dr Katz 9 years ago after seeing another rheumatologist had me in tears & wondering if I was going crazy. Dr Katz was very patient, informative & compassionate. He explained that inflammatory arthritis cannot be diagnosed based on bloodwork alone & that 20-30% of RA patients never test positive for RF. He told me he couldn't pinpoint exactly what I had but that based on my symptoms & joint exam I had inflammatory arthritis either RA or lupus. So he said he could put me on a medication that would treat either. Bless him. Since then he has narrowed it down to RA and while I don't think i'll ever be 100% pain free I am doing much better than 9 years ago. Highly recommend Dr Katz.

I have found Dr Katz to be very professional with excellent patient care and bedside manner. It's rare to find a doctor that really remembers you and all the details that come with each individual patient. I can tell when I go to see him that he has familiarized himself with all of my recent blood work, documentation and our previous conversations and concerns. He is always on time. Having RA is a scary diagnosis for a young person. It has completely changed my life and through it all dr Katz remains positive and is committed to getting me back to 100%. He keeps me positive. I also really like that he takes his time to answer all my questions and explain all the medical jargon to me in detail. He makes me feel like a partner in my own medical care. Feel super lucky to have been referred to him years ago.

Useless doctor. I was on Enbrel for my RA and did not have coverage. All this doctor needed to do was fill out the paperwork for me to get coverage through blue cross. He refused and I ended up paying thousands of dollars out of pocket for the drug. I moved to Calgary and saw a new rheumatologist who did not understand why I was paying. She filled out the paperwork and got coverage right away. Terrible and incompetent doctor. Would never recommend him.

My experience with Dr Katz was terrible. I first saw him when I was only 19 years old and he was convinced I have RA, even though there is no evidence in my blood work, xrays etc.. He put me on really aggressive drugs that made me incredibly ill and gain weight. I told him the drugs weren't working, he said 'Yes they are'. I said 'I don't want to take them anymore' and he said 'it benefits us for you to take them'. Like I give a s*** if it benefits you! I want to feel better... I told him the biologics he put me on made me gain 20 lbs in 2 months and he said NO and that it was my fault. That was the last straw after 2 years of these shenanigans. I would not go to this doctor again with a gun to my head..

I am honestly surprised to see any negative reviews about Dr Katz. After a terrible experience with a different rheumatologist and over 2 years of debilitating and excruciating pain causing me to have to reduce work hours (I was only 30 years old at the time!) I was lucky to be referred to Dr Katz by my aunt. He is an extremely intelligent doctor who listens to my requests and has helped me return to work full time. He has made this terrible disease manageable and way less scary. I would recommend him to anyone.
