Dr Professor Havas and his staff at the Kogarah clinic are nothing less than outstanding, their customer service, punctuality and most importantly his knowledge and bedside manner was spot on. Day 9 of post sinus surgery and I have started to regain my smell and taste, I didn’t expect to start feeling better in less than 2 weeks. Thank your again and i have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Dr Professor Havas to my family and friends.

My daughter was referred to Dr Havas because of large tonsils and adenoids. He swiftly recommended a tonsil and adenoidectomy, accompanied by a robotic monologue of risks and costs. Something did not feel right: both his manner and indifference, and the way we were swept straight into the office of a business manager who outlined all the (steep) costs again and how we had to coordinate with the anaesthetist and the hospital. More time was spent talking about money, then anything else including any symptoms we may have (none: no recurring sore throat, and tonsilitus never!). I did some research, including of his (poor and now familiar) reviews, and sought a second opinion. A sleep study was recommended (Dr Havas failed to even mention this), which concluded that my daughter's large tonsils are not impeding the quality of her sleep nor her breathing. An operation is completely unnecessary. Putting the small risks of an operation aside, I have since learned that the tonsils are part of the immune system, helping to keep germs from entering the body. Again, Dr Havas did not mention this at all. I am so very happy I followed my instinct and did not contribute to what must be a very lucrative business, at the expense of a thorough diagnosis.

If you saw him, I strongly advise you to get 2nd opinion. An ultrasound found 2 stones in my gland and I saw Dr Havas who just told me to get surgery. The 2nd dr wanted to clarify the issue, and found there were lot more stones in my gland thru extra tests before jumping into surgery. Dr Havas didn't even bother going thru extra test and just concluded as surgery in like 10 mins. If I went with him then he would've left all those extra stones in the gland duct and perhaps made me go through another surgery.

Diagnose based on what I told him instead of really looking into the other possibilities of issues. Consultation was very brief not thorough at all, felt like being ripped off paying $220 for nothing. I need to find another ENT doctor now.

Dr Havas fixed my breathing and gave me an amazing new nose, absolutely changed my life, really knew what he was doing, and made some jokes which helped me relax. Couldn't speak more highly of him

Don’t know what these other people are talking about but you pay for what you get and if you want the best surgeon then it’s all worth it! His fees are pretty standard considering he is the head of the department (only being out of pocked $127 for an initial consult). He was very professional with great manor, staff were very friendly and polite and I was very happy with the treatment that he recommended me to have to fix my recurring problems.

One of the most arrogant, self righteous people I have ever met. Extremely hard to talk to, every question will be met with comments like “I’ve done over ten thousand of these, do you think I am wrong?”. Be prepared to pay $200 dollars for a 5-10 minute appointment, that’s if you can stand that long with this guy. Probably hugely knowledgable, but you’ll probably be miss diagnosed(like I was) because you can’t even describe symptoms without treated like an idiot. Massive bell end!!!

professor havas is the greatest ent in australia having visited many my self he take his time and draws a diagram of the subject and says what could be done and the staff are on point with appointments and have a warm welcoming i recommend professor havas to anybody.

We had to wait 1 hours 30 minutes to see Dr Havas although we had an appointment and didn’t even get to speak to him for 10 minutes. He directed us straight to his assistant to give us operation related information.
