Dr Wells was with me through my entire journey from an abnormal Pap smear to being diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer. I was devastated and Dr Wells took the time to re-assure me that she would help get me through it. She did! She performed all the necessary steps to ensure we didn't miss anything and I'm happy to say that I'm now cancer free! I will say that she's always running behind but once you get in to see her, she's worth the wait!

Dr. Wells was my oncologist for ovarian cancer. She is a kind and caring doctor and takes time to answer all your questions. I never felt rushed during appointments even though she is a busy doctor. She is an excellent surgeon and I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr Wells is an amazing doctor. I was referred to her after an abnormal pap that turned into cervical cancer. She reassured me and was kind and informative about my treatment options. I had all my tests and exams in a very timely manner. She performed my surgery and was so skilled. I owe her for being cancer free. She is a gifted and I'm so fortune to have her as a doctor.

Dr. Wells was very nice and straight to the point, she address any concerns I had and asked if I had any further questions with my colonoscopy and LEEP. Her and her staff at the misacordia were great!

I was diagnosed with uterine cancer and Dr. Wells was my surgeon she was amazing. She took the time to go through the result with me and discussed my options after surgery. She called me 2 weeks after my surgery to inform me that I didn’t require any chemo or radiation and then had a follow-up check-up schedule for me 6 weeks later. I feel very fortunate to have such a caring and knowledgeable doctor. Thanks Dr. Wells. Kim M.

6 weeks ago Dr. Wells removed a benign teratoma from my ovary. Not knowing if this was cancer or not going into surgery was scary for being 26 years old. As a nurse myself I am very aware of how things can go south fast in the healthcare system and sometimes you do not always get the empathy you desire from a physician. However Dr. Wells was very warm hearted and honest with me throughout the entire process of going into surgery and afterwards. Knowledgable, to the point and empathetic. I would highly recommend her. Dr. Wells performed my surgery for suspected ovarian cancer in December 2016. I had a complete hysterectomy and removal of ovaries. The tumour was found to be borderline (non-malignant) and required no further treatment. Dr. Wells is an extremely skilled surgeon and during my post-op follow-up I found her to be very warm and willing to spend as much time with me as I needed. I especially appreciated her going through the final pathology report with me line by line. I am grateful to Dr. Wells for the great care I received during my recent health crisis. I feel I was very lucky to have her as my surgeon.

Out of site out of mind. Don’t expect to get your calls returned, results from your tests in a timely fashion or any attention whatsoever. My mother has ovarian cancer and it has taken as long as nearly 3 weeks for Dr. Wells to provide feedback on CT scan results – this actually happened more than once! Three weeks is a lifetime of waiting for the phone to ring, especially when the results can be available as soon as 2 hours after the scan is completed! Perhaps we could have had more treatments scheduled, maybe my mom would have had a little more time on this earth – but of course we will never know since she doesn’t return calls. Abandoned and neglected. Find yourself another oncologist – fast

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Dr. Wells never explained a word to me. She asked me if I planned to have more children and when I said no, she replied “Good, that will make this easier.” She told me I would have to have a radical hysterectomy and refused me any other options. She only gave me information when I kept probing her for what other options there were. I refused a costly and inaccurate test and after five minutes of explaining why, she finally admitted to me that the test more often gave positive negatives and would be less than accurate in my circumstance. She would only give me a second opinion to her own surgical group, who stated that she too could only follow the oncology group decision. That is far from an outside second opinion.
Dr. Wells finally told me she wasn’t sure why I would come to her if I was not going to accept their “cure”. The only reason she could give me for the “standard of care” that she was willing to provide was that she didn’t want me coming back in 5 years blaming them when the cancer returned. You can’t even sue a doctor for that in Canada.
The report that she forwarded to my GP and OBGYN was inconsistent with what she told me. In there she stated that I would be eligible to be part of a research group where simple hysterectomies where done, which she had never told me. She also reported to me the tumor as being different in size.
On top of all I felt bullied because she was asking me to make a decision right there and I wanted to think about it. She told me I was angry when I was not, I was frustrated with not being told anything. I left feeling disrespected and when I left I had no more information about my condition than when I arrived. I certainly will not ever be going back to her. Dogmatic was the only word that came to mind. If you don’t want to have half of your body cut out of you, you may not appreciate her bedside manner.
