He saved my life as a resident doctor perforatorated my colon and he did emergency surgery after 12 hours and I trust him with my life! The intensive care nurses however are a different story, be careful not to be rude to them or your company that comes to visit or you will be attacked, and hopefully will live to tell the story like I did! Playing possum is my nick name!

Dr. McMullen removed my appendix in July of 2009, after several years of experiencing a mysterious reoccurring abdominal pain that eventually (and thankfully!) led to acute appendicitis. His bedside manner was pleasant and his workmanship was of the best quality--incisions are small, neat and barely noticeable. Thank you, Dr. McMullen!

He removed my husbands thyroid and 7 thyroid cancer tumours. He is absolutely an amazing and caring doctor. He responds to questions outside of your appointment. He is honest. He loves what he does and this is very obvious in the care he gives to others. If you or someone you know needs an endocrinologist or surgery of that kind ask to go to him.

He saved my life ! A routine colonoscopy punctured my bowel and then sent me home! I returned to emergency with sepsis and he operated to repair my colon which was badly damaged by a resident doctor at the U of A! God Bless this man! Happened in 2010!

Dr. McMullen removed my thyroid 2 years ago due to papillary thyroid cancer. I never felt rushed during the consultation or follow up and he patiently answered all my questions. The surgery went extremely well (no complications or recurrence of cancer) and I’ve received complements on my scar (or lack thereof) from other doctors.
