This DR. is a great help to me he is currently helping get off medication a doctor in Lethbridge put me on. He listens to everything I tell him and remembers what I told him the next time I go in. He even takes the time to ask how my family is doing. I was near death and didnt know it when I started seeing Dr. Anand and now I know I can enjoy being with my family and living a normal life.

Efficient and quick with patients. Has good knowledge of medications. Does not listen well. I was diagnosed wrong initially, and when it was proved wrong he denied it and could not take being wrong for a long time (though he did come around eventually). Could use some lessons in empathy. Not the worst doctor I’ve seen, but definitely not the best.

Misdiagnosed me, which lead to multiple trips to the ER and hospital stays; I told him what I thought it was multiple times(I work as a mental health professional, so I do know my stuff), and he diagnosed me with something completely different. Only after nearly dying did he give me the right medications (and he never did admit to misdiagnosing me). Does not listen well, and believes that all of your problems have to do with something going on in your life (I wish it was that simple). The only real positive is that he did make decent medication decisions regarding my treatment (once he figured out that I was right); he has a good knowledge of medications. Always late.

I have a patient I’m working with who sees Dr. Venumbaka for severe anxiety/depression. I’m a mental health therapist. After reviewing his medication I became concerned as this patient was on multiple medications for anxiety/depression. It was like the psychiatrist didn’t look at what previous medications this patient was taking before prescribing him something else. I’ve also had other patients have severe interactions side effects with medications this psychiatrist has prescribed. I’m glad he’s retiring, I’m glad he’s gone.
