I came to the hospital in January the 24 because I was in so much pain. I was taking right back to triage then to a room we are a doctor came and saw me within 10 minutes I was given pain medicine a CT scan that showed that I had an inflamed appendix and was told that I need to have surgery I can’t even tell you how well the doctors and nurses took care of every need I needed. All this in one day surgery and came home.

My son sat in the ER lobby for 4 1/2 hours yesterday. They had no beds in the ER so no one was allowed to sit and advocate for him. He was diagnosed with “just” a kidney stone (the doctor’s actual words to me over the phone). They never gave him any fluids or anything for pain. I understand COVID has made things challenging but there is no excuse for negligent patient care.

This is not a hospital. Their only concern is covid. Rude obnoxious er staff. A bitch nurse In the pediatric mental er section who thought she could harass me but she doesn’t know me and what I think of useless medical trash like her. Illegally searching visitors and using covid as an excuse. The way they shove masks into your hands they are probably billing patients $100 each. Their only concern Is forcing illegal Inaccurate fake virus tests. Guess they can make big bucks killing people on ventilators if they get a false positive with zero symptoms. they suck and their employees are morons, if you have a teenager you will be given zero information as a parent and nurses will taunt you that the only reason you are allowed back is the patient isn’t 18 yet

had prostate surgery at the hospital April 2023. My surgeon from Chesapeake Urology was top notch. Nurses and staff were excellent. After surgery my nurses asked me every 5 minutes about pain and adjusted my medicine accordingly. My surgery was late in the day and there were very few patients.

We got there around 7pm. My wife was in so much pain. 9 out of 10 pain. She's a Nurse Practitioner who has had 3 children, natural birth. So I believe her when she says she's in that much pain. We checked into the ER and waited. And waited. And waited. For about two hours. My wife was coming in an out of waves of excruciating pain. At some point a nice family came in and checked in a reception. They were very kind to the receptionist and asked to go back to see their dad and grandpa to which she gruffly said “uh, I hate this!” Loud enough that all eyes in the waiting room were on her but her security guard partner didn't bat an eye. This must be her normal behavior. It turned out it was normal behavior. I witnessed a patient tell a tech he was so hungry. The tech said “no trays have been delivered” and left it at that. No attempts to help the customer. I saw another lady who had to use the restroom and she asked the nurses/tech if there was another one and they kind a brushed her off and said “I can't do anything. There aren't many bathrooms in here”. A doctor came into my wife's ER room and told her that her pancreatic cysts were improving. Which is great news for someone, but my wife wasn't there for, nor tested for, anything to do with her pancreas. The doctor was delivering her someone else's test results. Then a nurse tried to give my wife another patients medicine. It wasn't a serious or dangerous medicine but what if it was? And what if my wife wasn't a nurse practitioner who knows medicines well? Someone could really get hurt! There are some great people here. But they work in a trash heap. Dr Goldstein in the ER, Krystal in Radiology, Amber on 4th floor…amazing. But a far above average number of bad ones and others who accept the bad behavior. This is a systemic problem. This is a leadership problem. I've worked in hospitals all over the country most of my career and I really haven't seen a systemically bad culture in a hospital until now. Today is my sons 6th birthday and my wife is in the hospital and can't see him. And it has killed my heart. I took him to the hospital to see her. He had his new ghostbuster costume and was excited to show mommy. He and I walked through the main door and were greeted with “he can't be in here! He can't be anywhere in this hospital”. Well, thank you Steve Goetz from Security. Next time you could have shown some kindness. You could have f&*king said Hello. You could have said “I'm sorry but he's too young”Instead you made me and my son feel like second class citizens by barking orders at us from across the room without even acknowledging our humanity. You, sir, Steven Goetz of Carroll Hospital Security, are a piece of sh&t. I hope they fire you from Lifebridge. I hope you get famous from this review and everyone knows what a steaming pile of d%cks you really are. And my dear Lifebridge Health, you can blow it out of your a%s with your “we are interested in following up with you, please call us” bullsh%t. You wanna fix your hospital, you call us. You make amends to us. I believe every one of the one star reviews you have received because I experienced it first hand. This is on you to fix.

I fell and shattered my femur and broke my artificial knee. I was taken to Carroll by ambulance where I requested to be transferred to Mercy Hospital where my orthopedic doctor practices. After being harangued by the emergency room doc for not accepting one of their orthopedists, I was left on a stretcher in the hall for almost three hours before I was given any pain meds. This is not a facility that treats sick/injured people with compassion and care. It is a business only concerned with their bottom line. If it's possible to go anywhere else but Carroll, Northwest or Sinai, do it!

Totally disappointed in the care received att this hospital. Nurse and charge nurse had no compassion for allowing 3 (2 brothers & myself) of us to be in the room to tell my 93 year old mother she wasn't going home. Unacceptable and honestly cannot wait until she is discharged. Just the other day my Mom got out of the chair and the alarm sounded. When I entered the room my mother was standing in a pool of diarrhea and urinating. The alarm sounded for 29 minutes before my brother went to get someone. Then and only them to someone come to assist.

Emergency room staff try's to do well . Inpatient staff are rude , play on their phones , I saw a nurse twice in a 12 hour . There is zero communication between doctors and staff . Pt has zero clue with a forward plan or seeking a diagnosis. I will not be a pt act carroll hospital again . I will drive further to fmh , Howard , Montgomery
