My wife and I have been helped by Newcastle Eye Hospital for over 5 years. We are very satisfied with the service and can recommend it to anyone.

Have you seen the amazing expansion and development here? We are so blessed to have such a wonderful hospital now with a growing team of experts including Clarity radiology, bone density and more. Thank you Dr Peter and Hilary for making this place so great.

I had a wonderful experience here. The staff are so friendly. Apparently they have the highest staff retention rate of any hospital in Australia according to the government data. I can see why. I was completely relaxed. Made to feel welcome. Not a number. Not another patient in a production line. They introduce themselves by name. If you need your cataracts done, come here.

Newcastle Eye Hospital is amazing. A dedicated hospital for the care of eye disease. There is no other hospital in my area where a patient can have emergency surgery straight away, because the clinic is located in the hospital building, and this practice has permanent retinal experts. As well as this, they do cataracts, glaucoma, pterygiums…in fact, if you have any eye problem, this is a wonerful place to attend. I cannot recommend Newcastle Eye Hospital highly enough

Dr. Peter Davies performed cataract surgery on my left eye 2nd May, 2019 & my right (lazy) eye 11 June, 2019. The cataract surgery successfully restored the sight in my good left eye and helped to improve the sight in my right (lazy) eye. Everything went perfectly & after more than 2 years since the surgery I can say my eyes & my sight is still great. To anyone out there contemplating cataract surgery & perhaps very nervous & worried about it, (like I was), let me tell you that for me the whole process, (on both occasions), was pretty much painless- both during the operations & post operations. To put it in perspective ... I would rate a checkup & clean at the Dentist as being more invasive & more painful than the cataract surgery. I hope that makes you, (the nervous reader), feel a little less nervous & more comfortable about your upcoming procedure. I can't thank Dr. Davies, (& the whole team at the Eye Hospital), enough. Clarke Pearson.
