Never in my life have I heard of a doctor having to "approve" of someone before they can make a new patient appointment. This is an example of how pathetic our health care system has become. SHAME on you. This "policy" tells me without a doubt Northeast Georgia does NOT care about people and their wellbeing. Disgusting and shameful.

What shocks me is how nurses now have no basic patient care skills. No hands on basic nursing. It it isn't on an electronic screen they are lost. It is a damn shame. Old school nurses and even Dr's are few and far between now.

Until recently this was the best hospital. However, recent trip to the ER was a nightmare. Dr. attempted to deceive my husband into signing consent for surgery while he was groggy from pain meds. DR. was upset that he refused because he did not understand the form. Dr. told him to sign anyway and they would discuss later! Husband checked himself out and ended up NOT needing the surgery!

Very sick upon arrival. The emergency room Dr. was kind and reassuring. I had c.diff a virulent infection with high death rate. I never felt any overt excitement only calm, reassuring and keeping me informed throughout.. This is a very big hospital but I never felt I was less important than any one else. I was diagnosed, sent to a private room, started on meds, had a short talk with the Hospitalist. That one area kept me from waiting on anything needed with a doctor's approval. Stayed 4 days, including over Christmas. I am somewhat paranoid about cleanliness, especially hand washing. Not one time did I see any slackness in that regard.. My stay was Dec. 23-27., 2013

Top notch facility from pulling in the parking lot all the way through surgery and staying overnight, this hospital was excellent! Amazing staff all throughout from check-in, to nurses, surgeons and everyone between! This state-of-the-art facility is one of the nicest hospitals I've seen and I've visited many throughout the southeastern US.

Spent 4 days there! The worst hospital I’ve ever been in. Had to ask 3 times for a bottle of water. The nurse left the IV needle in my arm when I was discharged!
