The emergency department is full of rude and illmannered nurses, doctors and interns. Apart from the first triage nurse (I didnt get his name but he was quite nice) everyone I encountered was just plain hostile and inapproproate. I would rather drove the extra 20 min to another hospital.

I personally have had every surgery done at this hospital, tonsils, tubes in my ears x3, blocked tear ducts x2, and adenoids out. Plus 5 broken bones, each time I have received excellent care, and staff has always been great! On Christmas I cut my hand open and required stitches, I was through triage and home again within 45 minutes. This is one of the only hospitals that specifically staffs well for holidays where cuts are prone to happen… however I rated services at a 2 because my husband was dealing with a partical of some sort in his eye for quite sometime and when referred to an ER because he started having cloudyness( so we could see an opthomolagest) the ER doctor specializing in optical, said that he couldn’t see anything remaining in his eye and that he saw ABSOLUTELY NO sign on infection and told us that the cloudiness may go away and that it’s just a remaining affect from the partial damage. He wrote us a referral and faxed our information over which was great, the next morning promptly at 8AM my husband received a call from the opthomologest office to come in immediately for an exam. Turns out the cloudiness in his eye was an ulcer and he had a huge infection in his which could cause him to go blind. After rounds and rounds of antibiotics the infection left but the ulcer had to be surgically removed through a transplant… my husband went to this ER multiple times over the course of 6 months and was continuously told there was no infection and nothing in his eye. They only referred us to the opthomolgest once we insisted on it and they only referred us after the cloudiness started to show up and my husbands vision became fogged in that eye. The doctors are usually really great, but I wish they would always refer patients out to the proper specialist, especially after telling my husband “your eyes are important, don’t mes with your eyes man”

Should take all the staff phones away and save $$$$$. They don’t know how to use them and never answer the phone directly and don’t return calls when their voice mail greeting says they will!

The worst service I have recieved in my life. Been here for 10 hours. Was told 2 hours ago that I may have 2 people in front of me before I see a doctor.

Took mom to the walk-in in Ajax on Salem and Rossland. Spent almost 3 hours and was send to Ajax Hospital. Took 4 hours to see a doctor and then was told they don’t have the instrument used to check the pressure of her eyes. What a ducking (not allowed to use the f word) joke of a hospital. Was send to Centenary was told there would not be a long wait. Waited for 2 hours til 12am and decided to leave. Was never seen. Another ducking joke of a hospital. I also have personal experience with both hospitals and it’s the same outcome.

In emergency room patients wait over 6 hours to see the doctor if he or she is going to reorder the blood test you have to wait another 6 hours that crazy, they are thinking about themselves not about patients and the patient visitors. I hope they should do their services fast otherwise the government is going to lose a lot of money I mean if someone is waiting for 8-10 hours he or she is not able to work the next day

my daughter just gave birth at ajax hospital, the labour room nurses are great, we had a couple of nurses in the after care that were bad, they were heartless, and didn't care, my grandson was in icu, the nurses were excellent by one was horrible, treated my daughter like ,,,,,,, this was her first baby and to have him in the ICU was hard, all she did was yell at her and treated her like she was dumb, the matter was taken care of by the manger and than that nurse was nice, but you can tell she was nervous around my daughter. My daughter has a c section and was released way to early, only one night stay in hospital, she stayed in another room with no hospital care, she could barley walk. the rooms are not clean at all, and the 2nd worst part is the FOOD,, i wouldn't feed my dog that food, it is so gross.

One of the worst services I have ever seen. The emergency department were full of irresponsible people. I came by 911 emergency call but it was not treated as it should be. Wanted to leave the hospital, didn't unplug the intervene to relive us. Told us you are next in line, waited 5 hours. Tax payers money gone for waste.
