Two out of the 3 nurses treating my family member were awful. One replied that she wasn't on duty and wanted to go home when I asked a question. The other one said my family member wasn't being independent and 's**t' the bed twice that day. How disrespectful and unprofessional can you get. Also, call bells were not attended to in a timely fashion, hospital was noisy, unorganized and looked unclean . My family and I were shocked at the whole situation.

4 hours is nothing compared to a lot of other hospitals. Be grateful.

Waited for almost 4 hours, 2 hours laying in the emerg bed before finding out there was only 1 doctor in the hospital. 1 doctor??? We ended up leaving. Who knows when the doctor would come back down to the emerg floor. He's upstair tendind to all the others. This is not acceptable. Will never go back to this hospital again, if thats what you can call it with 1 doctor.

My son was brought to this hospital from his camp, with possible neumothorax. It was a busy day in emergency. He was sent for chest X-ray from waiting area before seeing Dr ( other than camp Dr who sent his report, to speed things along!
Within 3 hours he was seen by Dr Maier, fortunately the X-rays ( which are forwarded to Toronto for review) showed nothing. Dr Maier gave us advice and we were on our way. All the nurses , staff were great and apologized for our wait time! What wait time!? This was excellent service in a very busy place!!

Every visit my family or I have had to this hospital has just been down right ridiculous. The staff and doctors are probably the most rude people I’ve ever encountered. The way they speak to you and the way they present themselves truly makes me disgusted. What a joke it is to include this facility a part of our health care system. The way you treat a patient and their family, whether an emergency or not speaks volumes. The staff run around unprepared and unorganized and it’s quite sad. Never have I had an encounter with a staff member that didn’t come across pissy and as if they’d rather be anywhere but there. Let’s get some doctors, nurses and staff that care for their duties and patients beyond receiving that pay cheque. I’m sure I speak for many when I say that when taking the trip here, every time is a mistake, when Orillia Memorial is only 20 minutes south of here. To anyone reading this, take my advice and take the extra 20 minutes to a hospital that has understanding, patience and knows how to properly and appropriately talk to and treat a patient and their friends/family. Sincerely, a continued frustrated, annoyed and unsatisfied client of this facility.
