This review is for the ER only. I was carried by ambulance with lowering B/P and extreme nausea and vomiting. This is11:30 am three days following a total knee replacement. I was placed on a gurney no more than 20-24" wide. No pillow. Don't ask for one or you will be snapped at for asking. After about 15 minutes 3 ladies came in to take vitals and a history of what was going on. These ladies were very professional and tried to help me get as comfortable as possible on the gurney. Then they were gone. It seemed like forever before anyone else came in. Then there was the person gathering pertinent info who had a trainee doing the work. (It seems like training could be done on patients other than those in the ER. ] While this is taking place I am still very nauseated and vomiting. Still using the emesis bag from home, They had wiped my face but placed the much used bag back on my face. The extreme nausea continued until after 3pm. I was then given a shot of Phenergan and the nausea subsided. All this while trying to be comfortable on the narrow gurney and to move a sore knee. My neck , back and legs were in pain. No One ever stopped in to check on this My husband went to the nurses station more than once with questions and was met with at least 5 personnel sitting behind the desk on their cell phone. He said they each looked up and saw him but put their heads back down to their phon. I was never asked it I was comfortable. Then the patient monitor and IV start to alarm. The IV alarm sounds like an Amber Alert and the patient monitor sounds like a train bell. These would alarm at the same time. I buzzed the nurse button to no avail. I listened to these sounds for more than 45 minute intervals. A typical response would be" I will tell the nurse", well that didn't work, no one ever came. I buzz back and get" We will get to you when we can" . The next buzz I was cut off by the person answering the call. The time then was 9:45pm. I laid there i a very uncomfortable position listening to sounds that would be used for torture. At 10:45 three angels from the third floor came to my aid by taking me to a room. The treatment or lack thereof in this ER is shameless. I will be filing a formal complaint in hope of instigating an investigation. In it's current state this ER should be shut down.

They were given multiple chances on various occasions (4) because we live close by the facility. My family members were misdiagnosed each time. When questioned they had major attitudes. Some family members will have lifetime recurring problems because of their inability to correctly diagnose. This cost one family member their life! No more!!

At 10:30 tonight (April 30th 2015) I had to go to the E.R because of horrible, painful, constant back pain! Upon arriving and being showed to my room the first RN was very rude, he didn’t want to listen to why I was there and beyond disrpectful. When E.R Dr. Jeffrey Pierson the on call for that night, came into my room to get information as to why I was coming up there. He interrupted me numerous of times, he pressed on my back where my pain was said he was going to give me shots for pain, & a few scripts I would need He left the room without asking if my had anhusbandy husband or I had any concerns or questions on his diagnosis or medicine subscribed. Maybe 3 to 5 minutes later two RN nurses came to administer the shots that the Dr had ordered for my pain, My husband went to the restroom and was gone no longer than 3 minutes, I am terrified of needles and wanted to wait for him so I could hold his hand and him comfort me. After I asked if they could possibly wait one second for him to return & their facial expression changed to annoyed and angered. While leaving my room, the male RN then turns to me & says “This means you will have to wait for your medicine and it will be awhile. (Might I add that during my visit, I was non stop crying because I was in pain and upset because of thier choice to treat me with anger & very unnecessary tone used while treating me. While preparing to give me my shots for pain, my husband had asked the male RN if the gloves & bandages he was using were latex free beings I am allergic to latex. The male RN then answers my husbands question with anger & a disrespectful tone of voice stating “Yes they are!!” My husband didnt hear the reply the RN had given to his question & replied “Oh they are spandex? Good.” The male RN then stated “I didnt say what they were, I just said no they arent latex at all.” in a very disrepectful ton & matching facial expression. I have never in my 23 years of living & walking amoung this earth, came across or experienced a staff of E.R Dr’s and fellow staff members so rude, disrespectful & unprofessional to a person in obvious pain. E.R Dr’s are asigned to E.R jobs to provide help, information, diagnosis of said pain/pains, and injury the person is experiencing. The bedside manner each person that I came in contact with was stomach turning & unsettling from the clerk up to receive your person information to the Dr. On call. I have filled two complaint on two different websites and I will also be filling more complaints come Monday morning. Might I add that my husband nor myself gave any reason for them to treat us in such way. I, as well as my husband & daughters have came Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston Alabama for our pain, injuries & their help, reason being each time We have visited said hospital for many different reasons, main reason for choosing that preticular hospital was because of their bedside manner being so respectful, concerning & caring for the patient. I was shocked & very highly mad because they treated us that in such way. I will not step foot in Stringfellow Memorial Hospital, nor will my husband or 2 daughters for any reason at all. If need be we will go out of town to a different hospital. I will, now & in the future till my last breath advice anyone and everyone I come in contact with, to NOT use Stringfellow Memorial Hospital for their emergency pain because of my experience
