It offered a wide range of medical, psychological, educational, vocational, and therapeutic services. The center officially ceased admitting new residents in 2007 and completed its closure, transferring its last residents, in December 2014. The facility is no longer operational as a developmental center, and its property is now managed by the California Department of General Services.
