Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly, MD, was a community acute care hospital founded in 1944 as Prince George's General Hospital. It served Prince George's County for decades, providing a range of services including emergency care (as a Level II Trauma Center), surgery, and various specialized programs. Initially part of Dimensions Healthcare System, it became affiliated with the University of Maryland Medical System in 2017. The facility in Cheverly officially closed in 2021, with its services, staff, and operations transitioning to the newly constructed University of Maryland Capital Region Health Medical Center in Largo, MD. As the Cheverly facility is no longer operational, current doctor affiliations are not applicable; staff have moved to the successor hospital or other practices.
