William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute
The William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute was a state-run psychiatric hospital in Columbia, SC, specializing in inpatient care for children and adolescents with severe mental health disorders. Established in 1964, it operated as part of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health (SCDMH). In 2014, its functions and services were transitioned to the new South Carolina Department of Mental Health's Child and Adolescent Inpatient Hospital, located on the same campus.
