University Medical Center at Brackenridge
University Medical Center at Brackenridge was Austin's first hospital, founded in 1884 as City Hospital at Brackenridge. It served as a Level I Trauma Center and a major teaching hospital, affiliated with The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School and operated by Seton Healthcare Family (part of Ascension). The hospital closed on May 21, 2017, and its services were transitioned to the newly constructed Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas.
