📋Overview
Aloe is a succulent plant species that thrives in tropical and subtropical climates worldwide. This botanical is characterized by its thick, fleshy green leaves which contain two distinct substances: a clear, mucilaginous gel found in the inner leaf and a bitter, yellow latex derived from the cells just beneath the leaf skin.
While the gel consists primarily of water and complex polysaccharides, the latex contains different chemical compounds. These two components are often processed separately or together depending on the intended application of the ingredient.
