📋Overview
Grapefruit (fruit/juice) is well known for clinically significant interactions with many medications. Compounds in grapefruit (notably furanocoumarins) can inhibit intestinal CYP3A4, increasing blood levels of certain drugs and raising side-effect risk. This is a food–drug interaction concern more than a typical “supplement benefit.”
