๐Overview
Nephrogenic diabetes insipidus (NDI) is a disorder characterized by the kidney's inability to respond to antidiuretic hormone (ADH), leading to excessive urine production and thirst. It is distinct from central diabetes insipidus, which involves insufficient ADH production. NDI can be inherited or acquired and results in impaired water reabsorption in the kidney's collecting ducts.
