📋Overview

Scarlet Fever is an infectious disease resulting from specific strains of group A Streptococcus bacteria that release erythrogenic toxins. This condition often develops in individuals who have streptococcal pharyngitis, commonly known as strep throat.

The illness primarily affects children between the ages of 5 and 15, though it can occur in individuals of any age. It is clinically identified by a bright red, sandpaper-like rash that typically covers much of the body, often accompanied by a high fever.
