๐Overview
Spider veins, also known as telangiectasias, are small, dilated blood vessels visible near the surface of the skin. They are a milder form of venous insufficiency and are related to but distinct from varicose veins. Spider veins commonly appear as red, blue, or purple web-like patterns, most often on the legs and face. They are primarily a cosmetic concern but may sometimes be associated with underlying venous issues.
