Very unhelpful. Spent ~15 min. with med. student, only 2 min. with doc. Never smiled, argued with me over my own symptoms (confirmed by a previous doctor) and made no recommendations to help or solve problem. Ignored all the med. students previous questions and details. Would not recommend!

This is the worst Dr I have ever seen! Any time you said anything he would role his eyes and huff, like “you don’t know anything” And he did not want to listen and also did not have a clue what was wrong and just gave topical cream. I would see anyone but him!

Don’t waste your time and expense going to this doctor. This is the worst experience I have ever had. He sent in some students to question me first. When he came in he picked up a magnifying glass, put it over my arm, had a look and told me in an insulting voice that I had infected hair folicles. He spoke briefly to the students and walked out. The students gave me a prescription for some cream and they walked out. Dr Lin wasn’t in the room more than 3 minutes. The cream didn’t work. I have recently seen a dermatologist, DR GORDON SEARLES. This is a Doctor. He recognized what he thinks is my problem within seconds but to be sure he took some skin samples to rule other diseases. Dr Searle also told me that all the creams in the world won’t have cured my problem. I was given some medication and follow up in a month to see how things are going. Now thats what a doctor really is. I personally think the medical administration of Alberta should pull Dr. Lins’ License to practice medicine.

I simply had a mole scheduled to be removed. Albeit a short encounter, he swept in, took a look at the mole and TUGGED on it without warning –OUCH! If he needs to do that to inspect, fine… but let the patient know first! That being said he has a horrible bedside manner, and in my opinion, lacks consideration for live human subjects. Do yourself a favour and ask your GP for another dermatologist referral. I also followed up with my GP after the fact and shared my experience. My GP admitted that he did have “a reputation for poor beside manner” (On that note, thanks for sending me to him, GP!). I only wished I would have checked this MD ratings site beforehand.

Saw Dr Lin every four months for more than a decade for treatment of various carcinomas. He was always helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Not full of humour but I don’t go to doctors for their bedside manor. I read recently that he has passed away, struck down by cancer. I will miss him.
