Dr. Jain was recommended by a good friend after I had a horrible experience at the Alex BF clinic. Had I not gone to see Dr. Jain my baby would not have been breastfeeding. She was punctual, professional and in mere minutes of sitting down, she had adjusted my positioning of baby and he was breastfeeding immediately. She is a God Send. Honestly-do not even bother with other public health nurses and breastfeeding clinics, just go to see Dr. Jain. I had received SO much misinformation and unhelpful information that I didn't think I'd be able to breastfeed despite my willingness to do so. With all the misinformation and conflicting advice it's no wonder people give up on breastfeeding as fast as they do. Dr. Jain is supportive and kind, exactly what a new mom needs.

Took me on as a patient when I was 6 months pregnant. Easy to talk to. Very Knowledgable and thorough. Amazing as a lactation consultant. Down side, sometimes had to wait a really long time. Write your wuestions down so you don’t get rushed out the door

This is a great doctor. She has many great doctors pass threw this ofice. She also took me as a patiend furthur along in my pregnancy. I became a patient at the end of June 2006 and was due at the end of Aug 2006. The only thing is that I wish that they could have more then 10 minutes with a patient because sometimes things come up that need to be discussed and you can’t always get two appointments in the same day.

When I tried to see this doctor I was told she was on long-term leave, and I would be seeing one of many doctors in the office. I was left with the impression that I would be treated as a commodity, one question per appointment so that they could maximize their billing. I was disappointed to find out they were going to bill Alberta health for my first meeting, when no treatment was provided rather it was a rundown of their rigid rules supplied in a handout, which could have been mailed out. I waited 7 weeks to get into this doctor to find out that I could not accept their “rules” and had to start my search all over again with a newborn.

Dr Jain runs a practice where there are generally 2-3 other women doctors working. I have always found her colleauges to be excellent physicians. I have seen Dr Jain a few times over the years and although she is very gentle and kind, she never seems to have time for me or my questions. Once she had her hand on the door handle for most of my appointment as if she was trying to leave the room. After waiting 45min for my appt, and a having higher risk pregnancy, I wasn’t overally comfortable with Dr Jain personally.

This doctor takes on more patients than she can see in a day. Her waiting room was so busy I could never find a seat. When I requested a nurse to help me with my one month old daughter as I was in such pain, the nurse got angry with me and told me that she did not have time. I was very upset by this. When I finally saw Dr. Jain I was given a lecture on how much her staff cares about the patients and I need to treat them accordingly. My next two visits were done by a replacement and during a 4th visit she brushed me out of there even though my symptoms still presented themselves. I would never recommend this physician to anyone.
