Dr. Jarvis is no longer seeing patients with dermatological cancer issues. This came as an unexpected surprise after I had a basal cell carcinoma removed earlier this year. Disappointing, as I had been a patient for over 25 years and had a good relationship with her. Dr. Jarvis seemed anxious to just wipe me off her slate. There was no reason given for this change in her practice. I asked for a referral to another dermatologist and she unfortunately was not interested in helping with this. Moving forward, Dr. Jarvis also was not willing to remove keratosis which are non-cancerous. Would be interested to know if others have had a similar experience with being "dismissed". Highly disappointing as I believe she is very knowledgeable with a wealth of experience in dealing with all skin issues and concerns. There is no in-office staff post-pandemic and all appts. are booked by phone or online.

I feel lucky to have Dr. Jarvis as my doctor. She answers all my questions. She seems to care about me as a person, not just as a patient with psoriasis. I had to start on a very strong drug which I inject and I was nervous. She gave me her cell-phone number and told me I could call if I had questions. I have never heard of another doctor doing that. The last dermatologist I saw 2 years ago said she would only do 1 skin problem per visit. After that she rushed me out. What a difference!

I decided to see Dr. Jarvis to get Botox. I had seen another dermatologist to ask about it, but I felt they pressured me and I didn’t want to rush into it. Then a friend recommended I should see her dermatologist, Dr. Jarvis. Am I ever glad I did! I didn’t know this but she said that Botox could cause a flare up of my medical condition. At first I was disappointed and tried to convince her to do the Botox anyway. I even offered to pay her more, but she was very patient and explained the reasons why I shouldn’t. I really got the feeling that Dr. Jarvis cares about me because she could have done it anyway, but didn’t. I think she is one of the few doctors who isn’t in it for the money, but instead to help people.

Dr. Jarvis does not respect her patients, is quirky, frazzled and unkempt. Her receptionists are rude. Every time I have been left waiting for 1.5-3 hours. She is more focused on upselling expensive procedures and products and looks disappointed when you refuse a $200 bottle of serum or cream or aren’t interested in fillers or botox. Yesterday I was left waiting yet again and after 1.5 hours I had another appointment so I had to leave. Today I called to reschedule and was told it was unacceptable to Dr. Jarvis that I had left and that I had complained and I should find another doctor. I can’t believe a doctor can refuse a patient medical treatment over their own rude and disrespectful behavior. I am now looking into reporting her and will happily find another more professional doctor. This is a rude money grabbing dermatologist who has a complete lack of respect for her patients. Don’t waste your time – because you will need a lot of it just to get in the door.

Dr. Jarvis is simply delightful. She is professional, helpful, reassuring and I only waited five minutes before meeting with her. The products I purchased were reasonably priced and available at the local drugstore which was convenient because the prescription was ready after I located my items. Dr. Jarvis is a wonderful dermatologist and I am grateful to Spa Medica for the recommendation.

I’ve been coming to this office for a few years now and I have to say Dr. Jarvis is wonderful. She takes time to answer questions and get to know me. This doctor is an example of what patient care should be. I’ve watched as she’s made improvements over the years. The new renovated office looks beautiful and I absolutely love her new secretary.
